Following are answers to the most frequently asked questions

1. How do I order 1-1/2 or 2-1/2 or any whole number plus a half yard of the same fabric?
   • This is a two-step process. For example, to order 2-1/2 yards of the same fabric, first choose Full Yard from the drop down menu and enter 2 in the quantity box and click "Add to Cart". Two full yards of the fabric will be added to your shopping cart. Now go back to the same fabric and choose Half Yard Only from the drop down selection menu and enter 1 in the quantity box and click "Add to Cart". One half yard of the fabric will be added to your shopping cart for a total of 2-1/2 yards of the same fabric. The cost of the fabric will automatically adjust to your choice of fabric length.
2. How do I order only 1 half yard or 1 fat quarter?
   • Choose "Half Yard Only" or "Fat Quarter" from the Choose Fabric Length drop down list, then enter 1 in the quantity box and click "Add to Cart". The cost of the fabric will adjust automatically to your choice of fabric length.
3. I see that all prices on the web site are listed in Canadian dollars. How do I convert this amount to US dollars?
   • You will find the converted US dollar price listed directly below the Canadian dollar price for each product in the store. During the checkout process the grand total of your order will be listed in Canadian dollars. If you want to know the total US dollar amount of your order you can visit the Bank of Canada web site for the daily exchange rate. This web site allows you to make the conversion for your information only.
4. I live in the US and want to pay with my US Visa or MasterCard. Can I use my US credit card and how will I be billed in US dollars?
   • All prices on the web site are billed in Canadian dollars. Your issuing US credit card institution will automatically convert the Canadian dollar amount to US dollars and your credit card statement will reflect US dollars.
5. Can I telephone you and place my order over the telephone using Visa or MasterCard?
   • Yes, with our new Unified Network Payment Solutions Merchant Account we are able to accept telephone orders with secure credit card transactions. You can telephone Galena Bay Novelty Fabrics directly at 604-483-3390 to place your order and we can process your secure credit card payment over the telephone.
6. I don't have a PayPal account. How do I pay with my major credit card?
   • With our new PayPal Merchant Account you have the option of paying directly with a major credit card (Visa, MasterCard and American Express) or with your existing PayPal account.
     
     When proceeding through our checkout you will see "Payment Method" at the bottom of the Checkout Customer Detail page. The payment options are credit card, PayPal, Email or Cash Pick-Up Order. If you choose credit card, you will be forwarded to a new screen to enter your credit card information. All credit card transactions are secure on our web site.
7. I don't have a credit card. What other options do you accept for payment of my order?
   • Local customers in the Powell River area may choose Cash Pick-Up Order as payment option and make payment with cash or cheque.
     
     Other Canadian and US orders may be paid by money order. To do this, select Email as payment method and then click "Checkout". You may complete your order in this manner without submitting any credit card information. After we receive email confirmation of your order we will contact you for further information. We will provide our mailing address and upon receipt of your money order we will ship your order.
8. I am a local customer. How do I avoid shipping charges on my Cash Pick-Up order?
   • When you choose Cash Pick-Up Order as payment option, you will be forwarded to the final checkout page where shipping charges are automatically applied to all orders. Simply click the arrow on the drop down menu next to Shipping and Handling and choose Will Pick Up My Order CAN$0.00. This will remove any shipping charges and you can complete the checkout process.
